I’m proud of my moonwalk team; through many setbacks, 9 of us are still in ( 85% ) and we have respected the distance to nail the 16 weeks training … And had lots of laughs on the way!

There are now less than 4 weeks to go until the Playtex Moonwalk; everyone is on target, there have inevitably been a few ups and downs, but a good team spirit remains and the hard training is paying off.
All of the fundraising is going well, with £530 raised by the training sessions and individual amounts are rising.
Let’s have one last push to success girls!

Great work from the Sospa Moonwalk team, 12 miles and an average 15 minute mile and an average calorie burn of 1400 kcals.
The Yogailates exercises will be sent to you all by e mail tomorrow. This should help to loosen all those stiffening joints.
Moonwalk 12 MILES Training Route
A great days training today week 4. 8.2 miles including hill climbs which must have had the locals peering through their windows as we powered up and down St Johns Hill looking like garden gnomes ( having a competition between us who can find the most outlandish hat) Raising funds for breast cancer and having a laugh too. Training programs for this week coming out tomorrow guys, enjoy a days rest and be ready to get back on it Tuesday. x

Week 2 Sunday 6 Feb 2011 Moonwalk Training and a successful 5 miles done in 1 hr 15 mins. Another £36.00 raised today for the charity. Making a two week total of £76.50.
It was definately wild and windy out there which was very ‘apt’ as the theme for this years walk is ‘A Walk on the Wild Side’, so we are now discussing what wild and wicked outfits we can wear on the day… watch this space
Sunday the 30.01.2011 was the first day of our team Moonwalk training with 12 of us officially through and 2 more joining training for the fun!
We had a 1 mile Power walk assessment of the group after a 0.5 mile warm up and completed 3.66 miles total for Week 1.
26.2 certainly looking achievable in under 6 hours by the event date.
It is still early enough for anyone who wishes to join in our non profit to me £3.00 fundraising walks every Sunday at 2pm.A great simple way to improve your fitness levels and reach a challenge and have some fun in 14 weeks.

Hi, Welcome to Playtex Moonwalk Training WEEK1
You will receive 15 custom made Moon Walk Marathon Training Programme from me, Gail Abbey Personal Training.
We will be meeting every Sunday for our group training Charity Moonwalk session but you will need to follow a programme to help you successfully optimise your fitness safely to achieve your 26.2 miles Power Walk.
My Programme is designed to strengthen and create flexibility specifically for the Moon Walk.
The strength and flexibility session is necessary 3 x week 1

From 30th January to May 14th 2011 every Sunday afternoon there will be a training walk, leading up to the fun Playtex Moonwalk in aid of breast cancer.

This is a non profit training session for me and all funds charged will be donated to the Moonwalk charity.
Sessions will cost £3.00 per person per hour and leading up to the 26.2 mile walk event we will be walking for 6 hours.
