We are soon to celebrate the success of So Lean & Cleans 5th Birthday!
I can’t actually believe it has been operating for so long, with 100’s of clients changing their lifestyle’s and understanding the health benefits of eating clean, it has been challenging at times but a real joy to see clients achieve their results and hear their comments as to hao they can’t believe they have regained the body of their youth!

10 Top SLAC Tips Fat loss.
1: Have you tried fasting?
Research shows that fasting for 17 – 22 hours from your
evening meal until your next meal, really allows the body
to dig into the fat stores & gives the digestive system a break.
E.g You ate Wednesday night at 6pm your next meal will be
11 am on Thursday. The meal you break your fast with.
2: Ditch the dairy and eat green veg at every meal
You will get plenty of calcium & fantastic nutrients
providing you load up on veg.
3: Counting calories/points is NOT essential for fat loss.
Balancing your hormones IS crucial. Stabilising
cortisol & insulin levels is key. Eat clean foods
that minimise the secretion of fat storing hormones.
4: Ditch ALL cereals
ALL contain hidden sugar.
ALL will keep your fat storing hormones doing overtime.
ALL will eventually lead to fat gain.
5: EGGS are Super fuel.
Keep boiled eggs in the fridge to eliminate any cravings, the body loves them and like magic take cravings away!
6: Drink loads of water ,
up to 3 litres
Tap water is not great for fat loss.
Use bottled or filtered.
7: Carbs are NOT the enemy.
Eat good carbs like
Sweet potatoes, brown rice, root vegetables.
Eat small amounts & time these to be consumed
right after training or earlier in the day.
8: Do not rely on Scales alone.
Take weekly photos from all
Take your measurements & understand it really

You will continue to see your body fat reduce long after the scales have stopped showing a loss.
Aim for to a lunch style breakfast 3 x per week.
Cut down on your daily toxins or eliminate them.
Limit fruit & eat more veg.
9:Swap long cross trainer and cardio workouts for short HIIT training workouts and weight programmes.
10: Laugh, have fun, don’t be serious, enjoy your food,rest and play . Good endorphins should be released regularly to assist with fat loss.

So who went off plan last night ?
Well I hope it was worth it if you did . And it was a conscious decision to gain a lb !
Well its true isn’t it , because thats what we are potentially doing .
We sacrifice that extra bit of body fat diminishing and await the slightly lethargic feeling that comes with eating/drinking the trash.
When you decide to go off road , what other conscious decisions do you make ?
Me I make a decision to go extra hard/fast in the gym .

At this time of year Its full swing into many weight loss plans with clients.
Peoples eating habits are fascinating! People are still eating what is thought to be ‘healthy’ foods due to clever labeling . Buying a meal deal from a garage with ‘low fat’ low cal or no added sugar splashed all over it, a sandwich, bag of crisps and a yoghurt. It must be ‘healthy Or else they wouldn’t be able to sell it as that right?
I regularly see a blank food diary other than coffee and a cereal bar until 7 pm and then a bowl of pasta and a bottle of wine? Where is the nutrition?
Sometimes we just see food as something that either makes us fat or makes us thin. When I look at somebody’s food diary the first thing I am looking for is fresh nutrients that will energize,feed nurture and love the body.
Below are 10 facts about your amazing body to help you understand more why loving the right food is essential for health. Once you begin to understand the reasons good clean fuel is needed to enrich the body then the the positive changes in weight loss, digestion, energy levels and the immune system will start to kick in to place.

10 reasons to eat the best foods.
1)You use 200 muscles to take one step. Depending on how you divide up muscle groups, just to take a single step you use 200 muscles. That’s a lot of work for the muscles considering most of us take about 10,000 steps a day.
2)Nerve impulses to and from the brain travel as fast as 170 miles per hour. Ever wonder how you can react so fast to things around you or why that stubbed toe hurts right away? It’s due to the super-speedy movement of nerve impulses from your brain to the rest of your body and vice versa, bringing reactions at the speed of a Ferrari
3)The human heart creates enough pressure to squirt blood 30 feet.No wonder you can feel your heartbeat so easily. Pumping blood through your body quickly and efficiently takes quite a bit of pressure resulting in the strong contractions of the heart and the thick walls of the ventricles which push blood to the body.
4)Humans shed about 600,000 particles of skin every hour. You may not think much about losing skin if yours isn’t dry or flaky or peeling from a sunburn, but your skin is constantly renewing itself and shedding dead cells.
5)Every day an adult body produces 300 billion new cells. Your body not only needs energy to keep your organs up and running but also to constantly repair and build new cells to form the building blocks of your body itself.
6)Scientists have counted over 500 different liver functions. You may not think much about your liver except after a long night of drinking, but the liver is one of the body’s hardest working, largest and busiest organs. Some of the functions your liver performs are: production of bile, decomposition of red blood cells, plasma protein synthesis, and detoxification.
7)You get a new stomach lining every three to four days. The mucus-like cells lining the walls of the stomach would soon dissolve due to the strong digestive acids in your stomach if they weren’t constantly replaced. Those with ulcers know how painful it can be when stomach acid takes its toll on the lining of your stomach
8)Each kidney contains 1 million individual filters. They filter an average of around 1.3 litres (2.2 pints) of blood per minute, and expel up to 1.4 litres (2.5 pints) a day of urine.
9) The focusing muscles of the eyes move around 100,000 times a day. To give your leg muscles the same workout, you would need to walk 80km (50 miles) every day.

New SoSpa fitness venture.
I was recently approached by Whittington cricket club to see if I would put some fitness classes on in their newly built club.
It has a great hall and floor for workouts and changing facilities. Sending flyers out I received a great response and ran a survey with locals to see what types if classes they wanted to see on the timetable . Yoga, was a huge request and fat loss classes for the New Year.
Recruiting excellent staff to work in the Sospa team.
Lee Roberts and I have put together an excellent start up program of classes .
Yogailates which is a fusion of yoga and Pilates exercises ,
Gforce 10 a Hi / lo intensity circuit / drill style workout great as fat burn program .
Old Skool conditioning – a lo aerobic and toning workout set to 70/80 and 90 tunes.

August is often the quietest month for me and I generally get away on holiday but this year have worked through as it has been surprisingly busy. With my So Lean and Clean Online Fat loss group growing every three weeks when we renew, PT in my Studio is booming thankfully and I’m a little overwhelmed with admin at the moment as have to keep this blog up to date (haven’t had much chance in last six weeks).But there are so many achievements coming through from clients I can’t update fast enough.
So my goal over the next two weeks is to get some of those client results on and you can see for yourselves how great they are !
The month of July has kicked off a fun month with a few of the ladies from the So Lean and Clean Plan meeting up and going to the Ruby Chinese Restaurant in Lichfield Staffs, The Ruby knows all about the cooking methods and oils that we use on the plan and prepared us some great tasty dishes. I wanted the ladies to meet up if they wished as all talk daily to each other and its great to have a person to put to the picture on our fat loss site. It also helps to get out and have some fun and show how easy it is to fit the plan around a social lifestyle as so many people think that losing weight means also fore going entertaining and fun nights out.. Not so the case with So Lean and Clean and the next event of ours is a theatre night in Birmingham to see the amazing show from the movie Dirty Dancing .
I have had a fantastic exciting month with my business.
Launched the So Lean and Clean Fast food unit at the Lichfield Half Marathon. My On Line Fat Loss program continuing month on month and having just the most amazing results.
I am so ecstatic about the plan and can see big things happening with it as so many people are now wanting to know how my people have achieved their results it is just snowballing and I’m loving the self esteem and confidence it is bringing to members.
I have also set up my So Run For Fun clubs with now an intermediate and beginner level continuously running o a Monday and Sunday. We have that also On Line as a club to keep you in the loop daily with other members of the team.
As I write I can’t believe actually how much has been achieved! I have just returned from Lindos Rhodes on one of my bespoke Fitness and Fun Holidays and you can read more of that on my blog.
I have so much I want to do to improve my business and help keep clients just as excited about their fitness as I am with my industry.
The fitness industry is progressing at a mega fast rate now as we are so much more able to reach out to clients now through many means. I feel that if I can just get one more person a little bit healthier by one of my posts or vlogs then the work has been worthwhile as I am so passionate about the power of exercise in people’s lives and how it can help people to quit many unnecessary medications.
I am now in the process of working on some e books for my So Lean and Clean Recipes and in the Autumn I am launching my Auntie Gail’s Family Fitness Program.
